Upcoming Games: Hardcore MMORPG - Whiners Stay in WoW!

Here is a title many of you may have never heard about, until recently I had all but given up on anything "ultima onlinesque" ever showing up again. Then I found Darkfall! This title has been quite a long time in the making, but the devs have been picking up steam as of late. I encourage you all to go check it out, especially if you enjoyed the original style of Ultima Online back in 1997-98, with the full PK wars.

CAL - Preseason Delayed 1 Week

CAL - Division News
The Latest 8v8 Open News

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.01 patch recalled by EA, Preseason delayed
We had previously announced on Thursday that CAL-BF2 would be using the 1.01 patch by default for week 1 of preseason. However, since then, EA has issued a recall on the 1.01 patch and removed it from their download servers. EA recommends that everyone reinstall BF2 and revert to version 1.0, and unfortunately this conflicts with CAL's announcement given earlier.

With all this conflicting information being given a day before matches, CAL has decided that the best course of action will be to delay preseason matches by a week. The new default dates for week 1 preseason matches will be July 17 for the 12v12 division, and July 19 for the 8v8 division. CAL-BF2 will use BF2 version 1.0 until a fixed version of 1.01 is released. Hopefully this delay will give EA enough time to get a fix released.

BF2 Rolled back to V1.0

EA-DICE issued a rollback statement on thier last patch. All servers and clients are to uninstall the patched version of BF2, then reinstall the original unpatched version 1.0 and use that until further notice.

Expect a hotfix patch to come out late this week to replace the improvements to the game that we lost due to the rollback.

First BF2 Scrim a solid WIN for -uKn-

Guild Unknown (-uKn-)went head to head against Gods of Destruction (god) on the first map of the CAL pre-season, Dalian Plant.

(-Round 1-)
The first round pitted (-uKn-)China against (god)USA, we had no plan at all for China and it showed. Initially it looked good for us, as we stole thier Cobra as soon as they took the East flag, but then we lost it soon thereafter. The gates closed in on us pretty rapidly from that point on, as the West flag swayed back and forth between US/China hands.

The round ended with us pinned back at the China main, bleeding and hurt. Gods of Destruction took the first round 47-0.

(-Round 2-)

DDO Update

Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach, is in it's third week since launch. The game is turning out to be better than I had hoped. A few of us reformed our old EverQuest guild, Celestial Tomb on the Argonnessen server.

We are on average level 2-4 and milking the game for everything we can. We are not about rushing through the content, quite the opposite really. The marketplace is our next step with the continuation of the Shan-to-Kor instance.

I'll try to get some pics up soon, in the meantime if you decide to pick up DDO, make sure and create a character on Argonnessen and give us a shout.
